I am talking like really into computers. I am trying to pull the key from an xbox 360 drive and I cant get the SATA controller to be recognized in the computer. I am thinking of buying a SATA to USB adapter instead , since that might be easier.
I have a 360 with an Hitachi drive that keeps giving me an open tray error, and even after swapping the drive with another one, it sill gives me the same error. I am thinking that someone tried to flash the drive before, and maybe thats why it still has an error.
I would like to replace the drive with a Samsung or some other drive but I need the key!

Well I adjusted the POT on the laser and it started reading DVD's and then tried to read the games. I think the lasers are totally worn out, they are 2005 and 2006 drives with probably a lot of miles on them.
Looks like I am going to have to buy new lasers.
