 Subframe Connectors Suggestions
« Thread Started on Jul 8, 2007, 2:14am »

This is the last thing that i really want to do before the brake upgrades go into full swing. I am really tired of the rattling and vibrations. When i am going down a nicely paved road my car is really smooth, but when i hit bumps its getting on my nerves now.

Which subframe connectors should i look into getting? i initially was going to fabricate my own but i seem to have less and less time to do projects because of school.

I saw Hawks Prices and they are better than Fbody Motorsports

Then i saw these on Jegs

I thought i was going to buy the UMI ones:

Thomas says these Competition Engineering ties

Then theres even more like BMR

Mac Performance

But then i would also need a place or a shop to weld them in....

i got a welder at the shop i work and , but i also have a few friends from welding class who have personal welders and are veryvery goo at it, they go to competition. So if you buy weld in style one, then let me know i'll talk ot em and you jsut bring the car put it on jacks, and let em go at it, i think they'll do it for some taco bell =)

What say ye to a group purchase? I want to strengthen the frame before paint. I want to do some research first. Let you know what I find.

I saw those Thomas, i am keeping it open since there are so many options. Thats a pretty good price and they look pretty sturdy. I found this article on subframe connectors, this guy jacked up the car at one point and both wheels are off the ground.

$92, that's a really good price. Your feedback on them Tomas? That's a huge price difference in comparison to other brands.

I have not installed them yet. I need to get them installed I will do that before the end of the year. I am also going to be installing a pair of 90/10 drag struts in the next few weeks.

I am going to probably buy the BMR or UMI sfc's because of the construction of their product. They look solid and triangulate with the middle of the car.
