 Open Element vs CAI
« Thread Started on Jun 26, 2010, 8:38am »

I've read a few places that some people have had some pretty good gains from making one of these. I have a 3" open element with a 4" cowl hood but I really don't think its doing too much in the cold air department. I know Spectre has all the pieces but I wish someone would make an thirdgen specific kit. So what do you all think?

i know this is a old thread, but spectre is pretty good at intakes.. these guys products is SO extensively universal that when i built your own CAI, you would save money compared to buying a custom made pipe.. ive done that on my ls1 swap and saved a good 100$ making my own rather than going to a allready pre-made "custom" one.. go with spectre. good quality, affordability.. WHY NOT!!
