I'm hoping with the original 16's put back on I will be around the 3" to 4" mark!

it really depends on the tire size.

Whats up front right now are the 15" rims. I figure just by putting 16's on it will give me an inch correct? I am going with the stock size of 245/50/16. I just need the damn springs.

It took me a minute, but I found the proper measurements. The 165/60r14's measure 21.8 in diameter and the 245/50r16's measure 25.5 in diameter. So, you'll gain 1.8 inches off the ground- with you current springs. If you account for crush height(weight of car on tire) it goes down to 1.65-1.7 difference.

Thanks. It's a 15x4 that's on the front not a 14". I'm kind of torn right now. I have a set of 16" rims and 15" rims. I would put 245/50/16's on the 16's OR spend about $130 less and get a set of 215/65/15's for the 15" rims that I have. Decisions decisions..

I think what I plan on doing is going with a 235/60/16 for my TA rims. It should give me a little bit more to play with than a 245/50/16. I just really want those 16" rims on there. I hate the 15's that I have. Plus I found this size for $58 per tire online. Monkihead what do you think?

Hey I really appreciate the offer. I'm going with a 60 to raise my car up a bit more. I just need it to be somewhat more driveable than it is now. Plus I'm getting brand new tires because my TA is going to become my daily driver for the next few months and I'm not trying to take any chances on used tires. Thanks for the offer though!

YIKES! that is some super tight clearance! im sure you are looking for bumbs and deformities on the road more than cars around you!lol. def. try getting bigger rims to get you higher. thats one thing that frustrates me about thirdgens. you cant put big header and drop it half an inch cuz you scrape the floor with any hump. i remember a buddy gave me some 15 rally wheels (original RS rims) with low profile rubber in the front and man.. i was seriously scraping with a normal dip in the road going 60mph. i didnt even drom the car or anything!

Im still using the stock springs and just cut one coil from each. I then put the original rims back on the vehicle which raised it up so now I have a little over 3" between exhaust and pavement. Much better improvement. My car is actually getting some fenders and a few other things swapped out right now to get it ready for a nice paint job. Haven't been on this board much because it seemed like pulling teeth to keep this thing going and people talking.

you cut a piece of your spring huh! ha, i know a couple who did and im sure it does the same thing as buying aftermarket springs i think.. thought of doing that myself too! putting a tubulat K and alum. block raised my front end arout 2 inches, it doesnt have the stance i want it to look like. by the looks of the pic u have, it doesnt look like u really need fenders. but i know that only u notices the imperfections of your car.. i do with mine..!
i also feel ya on the site.. i at least check the site every other day and its turning to a ghost site. even my monitor is catching some dust this place has!! im guessing people are too busy or dont feel like sharing their moments with their rides. GAY!
