Who is going tomorrow night? I want to go but my transmission is shifting really poorly. I might have to take the HO LG4 out tomorrow and give her a good running.
I will bring my laptop either way and the hood louvers. BTW if i cant make it all the way to Biff's maybe we could meet at my girls house Jim. I still have those beers.

Where did you buy the ignition module from? If you bought it from advance auto i would take it back. I try to only buy parts from Oreillys since they carry Borg Warner.
I bought one from Autozone because i couldnt afford the original AC Delco ignition module. The Wells brand seems to be ok, it only fried when i put the 50,000 Volt coil on.
What i can tell you in regards to compatibility with the GM electronics is that the GP Sorenson brand doesnt work too well with the TPI and i know the MPFI is very similar so they must be really close. I tried 3 or 4 GP Sorenson TPS sensors and none of them would work well, the car kept revving up and down and stalling.
I took it back and the guy was like damn, here is your money go somewhere else. Thats when i went to Oreillys and got the Borg Warner one, they make some good quality parts. I think that TPS is till on the car, and so is the Borg Warner IAC.
If you need original GM parts and dont want to pay dealer prices, contact:

I wasn't the least bit drunk, i was feeling good.
I remember when i took the ignition module off, i had to replace the thermal paste underneath to protect it from heat and to replace the capacitor that plugged into it.
When we get the computer hooked up to it we can get a baseline on the sensors.
Me going out is a maybe, my dad popped a tendon in his arm and had to go to the hospital. Waiting for mom to tell me whats going on.

Whenever you replace the ignition module it comes with the paste, and yes I applied it to it's base. Anyway, when I went to get it tested, it failed 5/6 of the tests it goes through. The car ran great the first time I ran it after replacment. How do I check to see if the pick-up coil is bad? I've got to get this thing running right before track day on the 20th.
