When I first got my car I had a problem with it dieing when ever I stopped. Then it got worse and wouldnt even stay started. I changed the spark plugs, wires, distributer, rotor, the whole nine. After that it ran fine but now its starting to do it again. I think it might be a problem with the fuel injecters but i dont really know.

Fuel Filter? Cleaned the injectors, or tested them? Have you gotten a diagnostics test yet? I had 2 bad fuel injectors in my car and I couldn't keep it car running unless I kept my foot on the gas. Before you change any more parts, what engine do you have? We'll try to help you as much as we can.

I already changed the fuel filter and that was part of the problem. It happens all the time. When i first fire it up and let it warm up for a minute it does it and when im driving around and stop for a little bit it does it when i start driving again.

Drop your tank??? Id make sure that pump screen doesnt have a whole mess of garbage jammed in it....especially if enough got passed to get to the fuel filter....did the car ever sit?

If your fuel filter was part of the problem, any part of your fuel system could be a potential problem. As silver said, fuel pump screen could be really dirty, could have a nasty gas tank, fuel injectors clogged, one thing at a time though.

Sounds like it could be a fuel pump/pickup issue drop the tank or pull the rear carpet up and see if someone has already cut the floor pan to get to it from the inside.

Mine does that too, when you fill up the tank the needle goes way past the full mark. That means when you are showing 1/4 of a tank, its actually pretty close to being empty.

ok so now im starting to get back fire when I rev the engine and it is still dieing at a stop and my tank is 3/4 full. It also starts and then dies immediatly or starts and revs up to 2000rpm and slowly drops down or dies when i put it i gear

make sure the intake manifold bolts are tight and clean the iac with intake cleaner that won't destroy it. And we can check the tank sunday.
