My motor's shaping up pretty well. It's nothing super fancy, but it's bored over a hair (needed it for the rebuild), and it's got a decent amount of bolt on's. The problem I'm seeing is that no matter what I do, it's still got just a little bit of a vibration, and I don't feel like the power I'm getting is where it should be.
Almost everything on the motor's new, but I have the old distributor and coil from when the motor sat in my back yard for about four years. I'm thinking of shotgunning those two things just to see if replacing them gets rid of things, but I'm open to other (read cheaper) suggestions as to what to do first. This project is kicking I disagree financially, and I am about to be living on ramen if I don't figure something out.
The car's got an aftermarket MAF Sensor, Holley Throttle Body, and a Hypertech chip. Any ideas?

Could you post up what kind of efi system you are using and what kind of engine. (TPI?)
What kind of spark plugs are you using and how many miles do they have on them. (are they bosch)
What kind of distributor and is it an HEI distributor.
What kind of vibration, where is the vibration (under the car, in the front or rear)
Whenever i get my distributor wet, like when i wash the engine it will run like total crap. I am thinking that ignition module, if it got wet, will give you a real pain in the ass until you get it replaced.
Ignition coils run about $20 and the ignition modules about $25 from AZ, if i can remember correctly.
If the vibration is coming from underneath the car, and you have an automatic, the motor mounts or the tranny mounts might be bad.
When you punch it really hard, does the tranny bounce up and hit the underside of the car?
Post some more details and we will try to help.
