Napa AutoParts has the Modine aluminum radiator for $134 online, you might be able to get a good price at advance or oreillys as well. www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/NOLMaster.aspx?PageId=470&LineCode=NR&PartNumber=951&Description=RadiatorMy IROC runs at about 200 degrees or lower with the stock dual fans jumpered to come on together with the a/c on. I have an intake gasket leak by the thermostat that it boils over there, and it still keeps pretty cool. I think the aluminum radiator makes a big difference, since aluminum loses its heat dissappating abilities with constant heat cycling. Drop some water wetter in there as well, I have run that one in my yellow camaro, and it helps a little. What temps did we set the fans to come on with the a/c?

I have an aluminum radiator, I have the fans set to come on at 190 with the ac on and 195 with the ac off.
I wasn't able to install the air duct the other day due to the front lip is missing the lower section the it would bolt to. I am going to try and fab something this weekend or get a becool radiator or griffin.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead. My car runs at around 210 on the Hwy and 220 in town. My single fan is wired to turn on with the ignition. How much would my temp drop if I went with an aluminum radiator and then the dual fan route? I'm looking for somewhere around the 190 mark. Is it possible in this Texas heat? Thanks

mine runs 160/165 all day. with a/c it goes to 170-180. I'm running a 160 thermostat, dual electric fans and a new stock radiator. I'm looking to get a black powdercoated high flow water pump next month.

Mine will also run 160 all day. Just a 160 degree thermostat, stock mechanical fan, stock type water pump, and stock radiator. No ac though. But it shows that it is possible..

Mine has a 160 thermostat, stock radiator and a single electric fan. I definitely need some cooling upgrades.

I finally got mine cooler by installing the air ducts on my 89. My 84 last time it was driven on the streets ran around 200-210 with a be cool radiator and fan off a lincoln mark 8. The only time I could get 190 was with the factory clutch fan and it stayed at 190 all day with a brass radiator and 180 stat.

There is really no way to run cooler air on a TA with the front bumper cover the way it is. I see Jegs has a direct fit aluminum radiator for around $260. Maybe I'll start there.

It of course cools down some while driving but not to where I'd like it to be. Even at idle in traffic its at about 220. I might go the dual fan route first and then start with everything else.

Well I removed the thermostat and it runs around 20 degrees cooler right at the 180-190 area. I'll put it back in when it gets cooler outside though.
