My drivers side front parking bulb keeps burning out and I need the car for inspection.
The socket was full of rusty water, so I replaced it. I put a new bulb in it and as soon as I hit the headlights it burns out. When it came on it was really dull and low voltage.
All the other blinkers work fine, even the side marker light.
Anyone got any ideas?

You will need to get all the water out of the lamp, clean the socket and put some dielectric grease in it.

Today I pulled the parking lamp out and filled it with water and cleaned out all the broken pieces of glass that the bulb left behind. I found out where it was leaking in water and got a hair dryer and dried it out.
Then I went and gooped all the cracks and places where it looked like it might crack.
I cleaned out the socket with brake cleaner and popped a new bulb in and it seems to be working good.
While I was down there I finally fixed the fender brace that was driving me crazy because it wasn't bent right at the end.
Then I adjusted the shift cable so now it will actually go into park.
I should be able to pass inspection now, thanks!
