Alright, I am thinking here of the best way to wire up the dual fan setup I have now and could use some suggestions.
Right now I have a Hayden type adjustable thermostat on it right now with a temp probe sticking into the radiator. When it works like its supposed to, it works great. Its totally independent of the ECM.
Sometimes it energizes when I turn the ignition on and it looks like it fried the inline fuse. Maybe that was too much amperage for a single relay. When I say fry, I mean that there was nothing left but the two ends of the fuse and a lump of melted plastic.
I was just going to leave it alone but I noticed that the wiring job I did was temporary with a terminal block, and I want to make it more permanent.
What I would like to do is get a dual relay setup that I can hook back up to the ECM and have the ECM control the dual fans. My car originally came with a single fan and I always had trouble getting the stock type relay to work.
This was before I got into PROM tuning and could change the temp the fans come on.
Suggestions?

Thanks Thomas I remember now that you and Corey did that on his car with just some wiring and some terminal connectors instead of using sockets.
I just need to get some Bosch relays and wiring.
What gauge wire should I look to get to carry the amperage? I know the signal wire and most of the other wires doesnt really matter that much but the one thats going to carry the current needs to be pretty stout.
It looks like I am going to need two fuses in line with the battery.
Man this looks too easy!

I would use at least 10 gauge wire. You can get the fuse holders at a parts store in the electrical area.

Alright I did the custom harness just like you have in the picture, with two fuse holders going directly to the battery. I used two headlight relays.
After all the crimping and soldering, I ended up running out of time, and could not run a wire to each fan motor (I would have to cut through all the loom and connectors that the intrepid came with) so the single 8 gauge wire comes from both fans.
I took the two wires from Pins 87 and reused the terminal block temporarily to connect both wires to the single 8 gauge fan feed.
Other than that, its the same.
So anyhow, the ECM is not energizing Pin 85 or there is a break in the wire somewhere. I ran the engine right until it boiled over and those fans just would not turn on.
At first, I thought it was my wiring job, but I cut the wire at Pin 85 from the harness and touched it to the Tan-White (FP Fan Fuse) wire from the factory wiring and the fans turned right on.
I am going to run it like that until I can figure out why I cannot get the ECM to turn on the relays.
Thomas on the back of the package it says:
Pin 30 Terminal for lights or horns Pin 87 Terminal from power source Pin 86 Terminal from switch Pin 85 Terminal for relay ground wire

Dope its my fault. Pin 86 needs to be connected to the brown wire at the factory relay. This is because the ecm switches the ground to control the fans.

You called it
I wired up Pin 86 to the ignition hot (brown) and pin 85 to ECM signal (green) and the ECM now switches the fans on.
