Finally! I've been going nuts without it. I wanted to put R12 back in it, but my friend has some hot shot stuff that he swears by it. I'm soo ready for the Texas meet!!!

Be careful with those Hotshot and Oneshot products, they are nicknamed CompressorShot because of the poor oil return characteristics to the A/C compressor. Here is a little information about the refrigerants: www.aa1car.com/library/tr497.htmIf you got the money and want to stick with R-134a, get a parallel flow condenser from Advance by Visteon, they are the same design as the newer R-134a cars. I was actually thinking of trying Freeze 12, which is a blend of R-134a and HCFC-142b. Supposedly, it cools better than R-134a alone and has lower pressures than R-134a.

I saw that stuff about the oil return issues. I'm not too worried as my compressor is original. If it takes a crap I can replace it. I wanted R12 back in it, my friend just wants me to save money. One of my customers has r134a in his camaro and it never gets nearly as cold as the r12. The freeze 12 has been known to give you 8-10 degrees colder air than 134a alone. I need a meat locker in my car. Its 80 degrees at the store and I'm already sweating.

I bought a thermometer and its awesome. I left my car out in the open, temps outside of 90-95 degrees. My car inside reached 150. Windows closed, A/C on for two minutes = 80 deg. Two more minutes, 60 deg. I started to drive(30-40mph) in light traffic, it dropped to 45 deg and stayed there.

Can you get Freeze 12 Monkihead? I went to Carlisle's and they have it there but they wont let me buy it without a license...
I should just take the damn test, i know how to use the gauges, vacuum pump and charge it up.
