This board really needs some updating and I'm sure you would all agree. Its kind of ridiculous to see some of these topics have not had anyone post in them for 2-3 years! This board and all the forums would be completely appropriate for a thirdgen.org sized group but not for the few of us that post. There are 35 different topics to post in and how many do we really need or actually use?? We should take a vote on which ones to eliminate so we can clean this board up a bit. Here is my list of the ones to eliminate: Chat Room Artwork Conversions and Fabrication Trusted Vendors Sponsors Myspace Community and Legislation I found a deal or something Autocross Performance Countermeasures member pages Help Request Alerts

I like the idea, but that would be up to lucid. Times change and less options may increase traffic.

I think we need a good group of people (5-6) before we start hitting up events to show we actually are a club and not just a few people who saw a group of cars and decided to join them. Ive seen what has been going on with the SAFBA with only the same few members showing up to each event. Should we try and get more people on board first and interested in the club again? I would say everyone start spreading the word to anyone you know who has a 3rd Gen and let them know about the club. If they were already apart of this club and you know of them then contact those individuals as well. I'm sure a lot of them stopped checking the boards after there was no activity for such a long period of time. Lets try and get this next meet of ours to include a few more cars and people that have the love of these cars like we do.

looking at this thread makes me look on how many are active members (4) and want to make something happen. looking at your # of people eric, we need 2 more cars. but i guess 4 is better than 2. but im sure we can start getting more involved and start the ball roll'n to let other org's. we exist and mean buisness! in the meantime ill spread the word on getting more folks involved, i've seen a couple of cars running around and hope they are interested. gonna start recruit'n!!

We started out with 3 people meeting up at OP Schnabel Park on Bandera. Then we started meeting up at different parks and doing the whole BBQ thing. People started tacking on after that. We had pretty good turnouts when we went to Brackenridge park.

Something we do at ATGO is give out business cards to the members to hand out. The cards says NICE CAR on one side and Come join the club (w/ web address) on the other. Spot a third gen parked somewhere and put a card on their windshield. We have recruited many members that way.

When I was apart of the Utah F-body Assoc we had flyers and stuck them on the windshields. Definitely helps though with the getting the word out!

I like those. Curious though....do you really give those to just the nice looking third gens or do you pass them out no matter what?
