Hey guys I'm new to this, i've been searching through Thirdgen.org for something like this and came across a thread that had this site linked on it. And man, you have no idea how long i've been looking for a 3rdgen pack around San Antonio. I live in floresville but i got another house in San antonio that i go back and forth to. And im just wondering if this post is still "Active" so to speak since no one from the conversation of the 6 pages mostly hasn't responded since "Aug 12 2011".

We can set up a new poll if you want, most of the guys that posted in this thread have moved on and sold their cars.
I havent been keeping up with the boards because it was dead for awhile but I have been busy with my Camaros. I just had the 700R4 in one of them rebuilt and I drove it for the first time in a long time, I cant believe how much more responsive it is with the 3.27 rear end i put in it. 4th gear still isnt working so I am going to need to take it back.

I am down for wherever. I think that we should meet just to see what kind of stuff we, as an organization, can do for each other. Lots of 3rd gen owners have done work on their car and could give advice or help to others. I also think that mabye we should make a presence at the SA speedway. I think it would be a good chance to see what can be done and even get a chance to test out the work that your have already done.

I think that a gathering would also be a great way to talk about hooking each other up. I personally have access to paint, wiring, brake lines and other stuff. And I'm not even close to a mechanic. But resources could be a great reason to get together. Think about it. All 3rd gens are about 95% the same with usually engine or body options being the biggest differences between our cars. One thing this site has over 3rdgen.org is that for the most part, we could actually give each other a physical hand rather than just advice.

We actually used to have a "headquarters" where we used to work on each others cars and kick back and play Call of Duty together, before a lot of the members moved away and/or sold their cars.
I really would like to do a mod day. I need to install valve stem seals on my IROC, its like a smokescreen when I start it now. I am sort of mechanically inclined but there are a lot of things I still don't know how to do. I also have 2 camaros that the hatch decklid needs to be resealed on, but that job is really difficult to do by yourself.
