The other day after I got home from helping Kevin out, I was going to leave again and when I tryed starting the car, all the lights came on, but it didn't even try to start, no click, nothing. Today I was at a stoplight and the car stalled. It didn't spudder or anything, just died. I'm hoping it's something stupid like the ignition module because pretty much everything electrical in this car is new. I havn't had a problem since mid august of last year, this is by far the longest streak i've gone without a problem.

yo check out the neutral safety switch, thats what was wrong with mine andonce i took it out of circuit it stopped all my starting slash dying problems. Also it could be a fuseable link thats gone bad my did thats for a long time till i bought a racing grade one. You know the number man hit me up and we'll see what we can do

Happened again, drove to my apartment, walked out 11/2hours later and I get all the lights, fuel pump engages but doesn't turn over. After about 20times of trying to start it, it finally starts. Then I sit at a light...and it dies but starts right up again. I have friday-sunday off, anyone care to help with a full-tune up and an oil change? All I need is a jack, i've got everything to do it.

Could you go into a little more detail Jim?
You are saying that when you turn the key it just acts like a constipated monkey and wont turn over or crank at all??
If one day you are driving and all the needles in the gauges go crazy and it acts possessed and tries to die out and then it starts up again, i would look at the fusible links.
You also might want to check the battery terminals and make sure they are clean and tight.

I know it's not the battery terminals...there is power to all the lights and the fuel pump. And the stalling is out of nowhere. It's not a rough stall, the needle doesn't bounce around a lot, it'll go from 700-800rpm back down to 7 as normal, and then just stall. And as to why it doesn't even crank, i'm going to check when I do my oil...see how the wires to the starter look, may just be loose or something.

It is now running worse. When I start it, it barely starts and stalls. If I hold the gas at about 1500-2000 for a couple secs and let off it'll stay running. Trys dying as I come to lights. Most of the time. I already changed plugs, wires, cap n' rotor, checked for vacuum leaks. Next i'll start cleaning out the intake and the IAC.

I know, but that isn't the problem. It will still sometimes not even crank over when I try to start it. All lights and fuel pump turn on though.

Game on for 7/20 SA vs. Texas FBody, it was my ignition module going bad. Changed it, runs perfect. this is like the 5th ignition module i've gone through in the past 3 years with this car. AND IT COSTED ME NOTHING being I had bought one there before with a lifetime warranty...but the one I gave them I got from discount....good thing he didn't bother to check.

We cleaned his throttle body and checked the IAC tonight. The IAC was pretty clean, the TB was pretty dirty as normal.
Let me know how it runs Jim. How are your alternator volts doing? Is the car doing anything else before it stalls?
BTW I really like the Firebird console you have, the shifter is really nice.
Thanks for helping me with the hood

Same as it was doing before. I changed the Ignition Control module and it ran really good the first time. second time around it was back to the way it was, running crappy. The car still kept trying to die after I left Brian, and I didn't really look at the volts. When I compare the camaro and the Firebird, I like the interior the Firebird has. It doesn't look like Chevy took too long or hard a thought to make the interior as far as the console and guages go. No problem about the hood. Real easy.
